I am a qualified NCPS-accredited counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with 10 years of international experience. Over this time I have developed a special interest in a holistic approach to mental health. I work with adults and young people who seek professional support and a peaceful environment to discuss issues that they may be troubled with and which negatively impact their mental and physical well-being. I also provide my clients with practical tasks and exercises which enable them to cope with any emotional disbalances and stresses they may have in their everyday lives.

Together we work on overcoming their fears, on helping them face the issues holding them back and confronting factors that potentially prevent them from dealing with difficult situations. The goal is to head towards a more fulfilling and happier life. To achieve this, clients need a harmony of body, mind and emotions. Once this synergy is in place, they will be better equipped to deal with anything life throws at them.

Body, emotions and mind are interconnected. It is scientifically proven that many physical problems are caused by mental blocks which have been carried along throughout life. The therapy doesn't just cover the consequences of individual difficulties, i.e., the actual disease, stress or mental problems, but also the underlying causes.

I use the following techniques to guide my clients towards their goals.

Rational Emotional Behavioural Therapy (REBT) A therapeutic approach based on the idea that each human being holds differing assumptions about the world and themselves. These assumptions play a role in the way that a person acts and reacts. REBT works with negative, i.e., irrational assumptions, and teaches how to overcome and understand them.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CTB) An intensive therapy, it is currently the most commonly used psychotherapy. CBT concentrates on an individual’s current experiences and behaviour. It may help to bring about significant changes in the way we think, behave, and perceive our own feelings.

Sound Therapy Music is one of the oldest remedies in the world. Combined with rhythm and motion, it is a natural tool to harmonize the body and mind. Sounds and vibrations can help with the capture and expression of emotions, with calming the mind, with eliminating physical and mental blocks, and with the transformation of patterns of behaviour. As Plato once said, “Music and rhythm find the way to the most hidden places of our soul.”

Yoga and Meditation The connection of body, mind and spirit is the underlying principle of yoga philosophy. Harmonization of movement and breathing while performing the exercises calms and eliminates any negative impacts of stress. It allows for a wider view of oneself. Relaxation techniques usually work with breathing and the calming and relaxation of tense muscles. Thanks to relaxation we can observe processes in our body and mind and affect them positively.
