Renata is a certified Rolfing® SI practitioner, recognized by the European Rolfing® Association in Munich and a  member of the UK Rolfing® Association. Her own experience as a client inspired her to become a practitioner herself. During her training, Renata developed a deep curiosity about the body’s intricate systems, exploring not only human physiology and phenomenological anatomy but also diving into the relationship between the fascial and nervous systems and the polyvagal theory.

What is Rolfing®

Rolfing® is a therapeutic-educational approach focused on organizing the human structure in relation to the Earth's gravitational field. Through fascia manipulation and movement education, we aim to redistribute tension and reorganize segments of the musculoskeletal system, enhancing movement possibilities and reducing energy expenditure.

Who is Rolfing® for?

Rolfing is for anyone seeking to improve their relationship with their body, enhance movement efficiency, and achieve better balance and alignment. It is especially beneficial for:

Individuals with Chronic Pain or Tension:
Those experiencing discomfort in areas like the back, neck, shoulders, or joints can benefit from the structural realignment and tension release that Rolfing provides.

Athletes and Performers:
Rolfing helps optimize performance by improving movement patterns, reducing strain, and increasing flexibility, coordination, and energy efficiency.

People Recovering from Injuries:
It can support recovery by addressing imbalances or restrictions caused by past injuries, surgeries, or scar tissue.

Anyone Experiencing Postural Issues:
Whether due to sedentary lifestyles, poor habits, or repetitive activities, Rolfing can help realign posture and improve body mechanics.

Those Seeking Personal Growth or Mind-Body Awareness:
Rolfing fosters a deeper connection with the body, enhancing mindfulness and awareness of movement and posture in daily life.

Ultimately, Rolfing is suitable for people of all ages and activity levels who want to feel more comfortable and at ease in their bodies.

How does Rolfing® work?

Rolfing® is conducted over a process of 10 to 15 sessions. Each session lasts around one to two hours. We begin the session with a body assessment, observing posture, breathing, and movement patterns. After analyzing these patterns, we proceed to connective tissue manipulation. This involves applying touch with specific pressure, direction, and location to release rigidity in the connective tissues, muscles, organs, and bones, facilitating the reorganization of body segments.

Following the manipulation, we explore the structural changes through movement and conclude by integrating these changes into the body's movement within the gravitational field.

Each Rolfing session focuses on a specific aspect of the body and prepares it for the next session. We begin working with the more superficial layers of connective tissue, progressively preparing the body for deeper layers to be addressed in later sessions.
