I'm a fully qualified Naturopath and Acupuncturist with the diploma from The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, UK and a member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM).
I was born in Istanbul, and my interest in naturopathy started in childhood. Sick as a young child, I was given many courses of medicine, but saw little long-term relief. It was only years later that I've realised what I ate and how I took care of myself had a huge impact on how I felt.
Recognising the importance of medication and the medical profession, I see acupuncture and naturopathy as a compliment to traditional medicine. I focus on preventing illness as much as I do on relieving the discomfort associated with a variety of conditions, and I always encourage my clients with chronic conditions to first explore the power of changes in lifestyle and natural therapies.
Being “truly well” is very different to “not being ill”. Life’s stresses can interrupt our natural flow of energy and disrupt our feeling of wellbeing. I work with clients to ensure their energy is in balance.
My life passion is to improve the health and well-being of others through nutrition and complementary medicine. My clients particularly note my calmness, patience and warmness of spirit. A long-term resident of Hackney, I enjoy extended relationships with many of my clients, and get immense satisfaction from seeing the change in quality of their lives.
I welcome my private clients on Tuesdays and Wednesdays offering individualised services at Light Centre Monument, while also work for three other clinics throughout the week, located in Tonbridge, Hackney, Dalston, and Notting Hill Gate.
Additionally, I have volunteered at the College of Naturopathic Medicine as a Clinical Supervisor's Assistant and at St Joseph's Hospice as a Complementary Therapist, although I no longer volunteer at the hospice, I remain on their mailing list. If there's a client in need, I'm always alerted and offer assistance whenever I can. Despite my commitments, I prioritize continuous professional development, regularly seeking out opportunities to enhance my skills and knowledge in the field.
