Nutritional Therapy
In the Western world there has been a dramatic shift from acute to chronic diseases due to lifestyle and environmental causes. At the same time there has been a revolution in biological sciences that helps us to understand this change. Nutritional therapy is science based and focused on supporting individuals to resolve health issues by making the most appropriate food and lifestyle choices. Nutritional therapists understand that body systems are interconnected and seek to optimise physiological functioning in all systems by identifying and addressing imbalances. This encourages our own ability to self regulate. Together we look at your story, your signs and symptoms, to identify causes of health problems.
Laboratory tests are frequently used to assess your health. This can involve stool, saliva, or blood samples to evaluate systems and assess clinical imbalances – gastro-intestinal, hormonal, or gluten intolerance testing. Nutrigenomics testing involves a simple cheek swab.
I am a highly experienced Nutritional Therapist and Homotoxicologist. I trained with Dr. Lawrence Plaskett in Nutritional Therapy and the late Professor Kirkman in Homotoxicology. I support Nutritional Therapy with complex homeopathy, and mesotherapy (injected homeopathic medicines).
I am registered with BANT, NTC, and CNHC
Alexander Technique
The Alexander Technique is best known as a method for improving posture in daily activities. It can help you with musculo-skeletal issues such as overcoming back and neck pain, muscle and joint issues, and RSI. It is also useful for tension in the office environment, the performance of music, and public speaking. It is not so much a way of doing, as a refined understanding of what you are doing. It can therefore enhance your ease and performance in many other activities such as sporting activities and training, and pregnancy and childbirth.
I am a member of The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique, the internationally recognised professional body, established in 1958. I have completed the required three years full time training, adhere to a published code of professional standards and am fully insured.
